为何选择C++而非惯用的C?众所周知,传统C语言容易出错,连AI也难以避免。在约9千行C++代码中,我只发现三处内存安全错误。两处是strtol的字符串终止问题,当时AI实际上在编写C风格代码,之后我指导它使用std::from_chars并减少直接调用libc。另一处是std::vector::back在空向量上的小概率分支。虽然可以通过区域分配、计数字符串和切片等技术改善C语言,但现有AI虽理解这些概念,却无法在C语言中有效运用。因此我选择了C++,从专业经验可知AI更擅长处理C++。

It uses up more than half the FPGA, even more than the RISC-V CPU core (the “VexRiscAxi4” block on the right)! Despite only being able to run nine instructions, each PIO core consists of about 5,000 logic cells. Compare this to the VexRiscv CPU, which, if you don’t count the I-cache and D-cache, consumes only 4600 logic cells.
